I remember hearing stories that during a tornado, you can see some really weird stuff. Like a straw embedded in a wood tree. Well, I came across this today. A reminder of what happened the other day when we had the water devils swirling around as the wall cloud hit us full force. Then I find this. A stick embedded in a window frame. Like someone shot it out of a cannon! Sure been some weird weather lately!

Looks like some instability showers are developing after our sunny start this morning.

Canadian bulk carrier the Baie Comeau at anchor off Cedar Point Beach waiting out the gale. With these strong west winds, the lake level is low, and the gusty winds make it hard to navigate the channel, so she's taking a little break. Once things calm down, she'll go into Sandusky Bay, just west of downtown, to get a load of coal.

Gale warning today with the strong westerly winds dropping water levels. A common occurrence in the fall, but pretty rare this time of year.
