Knox County Sportsman’s Club Knox Co.Sportsman’s Club is a membership club organized in 1946 This is a members only club with secure gate entry. Must be a member to camp and fish.

Featuring campsites overlooking the lake. Prospective members welcome to visit one time – contact a board member. No Indiana fishing license required-Private 15 acre lake with boat access. Pets must be on leash at all times. Location: Approximately 9 miles north of Vincennes on Old Hwy 41.

Attention: the meeting for tonight is cancelled September 10 due to Rick being out of town. Next meeting is in October.

The RR crossing at the club is being fixed today so you will not be able to go in the club. We were told it should be done today, if that doesn't change.

Update on RR crossing: we just received word that now they are not going to work on the tracks until Monday. Sorry for all the confusion but we are just passing along info as it is given to us. Will they get it done Monday? Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

We were just informed that the RR crossing is going to be worked on tomorrow Aug 6. ( It was not done Monday as we were told). Campers will have to park outside the gate across the tracks if you need to go anywhere tomorrow. Visitors please do not attempt to go to the club tomorrow. Work should be done in one day.

ATTENTION: we just received word from the RR that they will be working on the crossing at the entrance to the club this Monday Aug 3. Therefore if you are camping you may want to move your cars outside the gate across the RR tracks if you have to go anywhere Monday. Park so RR trucks can still get in. They advised work should be done Monday. If you are not camping do not try to go to the club on Monday as you will not be able to get in. Thanks.

While you are enjoying the lake this holiday weekend please remember to keep safety in mind. Parents please keep an eye on your kiddos. Remember no glass bottles on the beach and please take your trash home with you. We have a pretty nice beach area. Please leave the area clean so others may enjoy it too. Let's all have a safe holiday.
