Meet Kāhea - a Hawaiian ki‘i carved from an ōhi’a lehua tree that until recently stood on this very spot.
Hand-carved in the tradition of kālai ki‘i by self-proclaimed “yard chic” and groundskeeper Judy, Kāhea (to call, invoke, greet) was transformed from the ō‘hia trunk and now has a new purpose: standing at our entrance in the very spot where her tree once grew, welcoming guests into this stunning sanctuary.
