OK Friends, We need some feedback:
The WildHaven crew is in SERIOUS talks about hosting a FRIENDS AND FAMILY OKTOBERFESTIVAL October 20 - 22, and at this point we need some feedback from you!!!
This will only work if I can get people to committ ahead of time...which I know is hard for alot of us...so we figured we'd ask you guys if this is something you would want for our community?
This is a soft trial for potential future events as well; if things go well we will be looking at expanding our events for next season, but as that will be a signifigant jump in paperwork and price, we want to trial things out and see if there is the desire in the community for something like this before we pursue a larger permit next season.
So...with that in mind, would you consider:
A ) Attending?
We would do day passes or a 3 night 2 day Camping package.
What would you expect to pay/"donate" for a day pass?
What would you expect to pay/"donate" for 3 nights & 2 days of camping?
B ) Vending?
Ideally, I want to trial out 15-20 vendors.
No vending fees, just camping donations.
10x10 spaces (some in clearings some on the trail)
County is going to view it as a "garage sale" since it will not be public, just our community (friends & family).
C ) Performing?
I'd love to host several musicians or bands...what's an Oktoberfest without an good polka?
There will be budget set aside to pay performers. (It may be minimal, but it will be)
Like I said, this will only work if the community wants it to...so please check your schedules and let us know if you'd like to do something like this together, and then let me know if you'd like to be involved on any of those 3 levels🥰
