A good meal after a long day in the hills can feel like a reward all by itself. You settle in, and before long you’re looking around at the kind of room that makes you slow down a little.
Wood, low lighting, and that tucked-away feeling give it a quiet charm that fits the Green Mountains just right. It feels like the sort of spot people remember from ski weekends, leaf-peeping drives, and dinners that turned into a little more talking than planned.
Places like this have a way of becoming part of the rhythm of a life up here. I’m glad there are still a few out there where you can take your time and stay awhile.
