14 years ago today, Al Sheen died from stage IV small-cell lung cancer. The next day, his son shared a message that we know today as the charity "because I said I would."

Besides keeping promises, Al Sheen also loved karaoke :)

Alex is especially heartbroken today, but he knows sharing the memory of his father has made a difference to others who are struggling. 16.5 million Promises cards later, and we are still here fighting the good fight. Thank you to all of our volunteers and donors who have made 14 years of impact possible. Our programs focused on resiliency skills and mental health habits would not exist without you.
