LAST-MINUTE SCHOLARSHIPS: Running from June 3-6, 2026, this 4-day, 3-night camp for ages 14-17 focuses on building essential resiliency skills and healthy mental health habits. The program will be led by Alex Sheen, Founder of because I said I would and a 5-time TEDx speaker, alongside a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Together, they will provide an engaging environment where teens learn to navigate stress, master self-control, and set meaningful goals!

More than 70% of Americans do not volunteer, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau and AmeriCorps. That’s why every volunteer at Camp because I said I would makes such a difference. Volunteers help make our programs possible for teens, many of them facing mental health adversities.

At because I said I would's Teen Resiliency Overnight Camp (June 3-6, 2026) at the historic Lakeside Chautauqua community, we help ages 14-17 transform stress into strength. Workshops are led by Alex Sheen founder of because I said I would and a 5-time TEDx Talk speaker, who will teach campers practical, real-world strategies to navigate stress, improve self-control, and reach goals through adversity.
