Meet one of our Springer Spaniel bird dogs - Scout 🐾
Scout is 9 months old and his daddy was River and his mommy is Brooke. Nothing makes Scout happier than hunting up birds, snuggles, belly rubs and carrying around his toys to show you. He loves to run the fields and swim in the ponds. He is such a sweet boy and has stolen both Breven and I’s hearts already with his little smile he loves to give. He is incredibly obedient and is a great listener for commands. We are so excited to continue with his training and look forward to our hunters seeing him in action this fall.

We started Elsaan Outfitting 12 years ago because my grandfather loved bird hunting. Dean and I became so passionate about dogs and pheasant hunting, we wanted to share that love with others. God has blessed us with the resources we needed to do so. We were saddened at the thought of it all coming to an end, however Breven and Aspen came to us with such excitement and enthusiasm to continue this business where everyone can come and experience dogs, birds, and God’s creation! Congratulations Breven and Aspen! We are looking forward to helping you get started!

My husband and I have some very exciting news. This past week Breven and I have taken over ownership of Elsaan Outfitting. It’s a Pheasant Hunting and Clay Shooting business based out of Walhonding, OH right outside of Newcastle. We are thrilled to begin this journey together as business partners and thank God for blessing us with this tremendous opportunity. We would like to thank Dean and Kari Ringwalt, the former owners, for their support and for working with us to make this possible. They have done a fantastic job at getting this whole thing started 12 years ago and Brice, their son, had continued to grow it for the last 4 years. We have inherited 4 hunting dogs – Luna, Gizzy, Jaxy and Scout. Stay tuned for our new page with lots of pictures and videos of these beautiful pups.

Since the time I was a little girl I knew I would own my own business but never was sure what it would be. I knew God would guide me and as always, he sure did. When I met Breven it was the first time I had been introduced to bird dogs and ring necks. He even bought me my first shotgun I’ve ever personally owned shortly after we got married. For the last couple years we have started to get more involved with Pheasants Forever and got our first German Shorthair Pointer, Benni, 2 years ago. Never did we think this would be possible. To be outdoors and be around dogs all day (two of our favorite things) sounds like heaven. I’ve always been a people person and he’s always been a big pheasant hunter. Together, I know we can accomplish anything we set our hearts on. We will continue to use the ‘Elsaan’ name until the end of April 2024 to ease into this transition. The beginning of hunting season in November 2024 we will begin operating under Aspen Ridge Outfitting. I feel honored to have a husband who wanted to name this endeavor after me. We are thankful for our friends and families who have given us all of their love and support to make this life changing decision. We look forward to seeing you out in the field 🌾.

Next Saturday and Sunday, July 10th and 11th, I will be flipping hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill at the clubhouse from 11:00am-1:00pm! All League members are welcome to come and enjoy lunch and some homemade sangria! Thank you for being apart of Elsaan Outfitting’s 2nd annual sporting clay league! I still have a few appointments open both days if you want to shoot while you’re here too!

To everyone that expressed an interest in shooting League this season, but is worried about the ammo shortage: I was able to order a pallet of Kent Elite Pro Target Diamond Shot 7 1/2’s. They’ll be here at the clubhouse available for purchase in a little less than 2 months. That is the quickest I could get anything here. We are accepting new teams up until the end of April. You still have over a month to enter if you’re interested! Practice is underway and there’s already been two 46’s and a 44 shot out of 50 during opening weekend!

Elsaan Outfitting is hosting our 2nd annual Sporting Clay League! The monthly league will run April 1st- mid October. Ending with a special banquet on Saturday, October 16th 2021 for all league members. Scored shoots will be once per month. You’re welcome to shoot an unlimited amount of practice rounds before you declare you’re shooting for Score. It’s a 5 Man team league, but we only take the top 3 scores each month so you can actually be competitive with even 3 or 4 guys. You schedule your own shooting appointment times at your team’s convenience. All cash, mystery, and experience prizes will be given away at the banquet.
