Wiener dogs are taking over the weekend.
Walla Walla Wieners Weekend kicks off Friday, June 12, with a group Wiener Walk through downtown Walla Walla. Meet at Walawála Plaza at 6 p.m. for a short-legged stroll through town, then stay downtown for dinner and a relaxed no-host meetup with fellow dachshund lovers.
The celebration continues Saturday, June 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Selah in Waitsburg, with dachshund races, contests, vendors, music and plenty of big personality on little legs.
Blue Mountain Humane Society will be there Saturday, so stop by our booth, say hello and help support animals in need.
Raffle proceeds will benefit Blue Mountain Humane Society, Dachshund Rescue Northwest and Portland Dachshund Rescue.
