Thirty years ago, Hollywood rolled into Wallace and transformed our little mountain town into the fictional town of Dante’s Peak and this October, we’re celebrating the story behind the movie that put some of our most recognizable streets on the big screen.

Join us October 1–4 for Fall for History: A Classic Eruption in Wallace, a weekend packed with Dante’s Peak nostalgia, local history and plenty of only-in-Wallace fun. 🎬🌋

Walk the actual filming locations. Catch a showing of Dante’s Peak. Hear behind-the-scenes stories from locals who were here when Hollywood came to town. Hunt for movie memorabilia, test your knowledge at trivia and explore Wallace while the mountains are showing off their fall colors.
