A very unusual find today - an oriole nest. The weaving of a lot of fishing line, plastic packing materials and little pieces of grasses and other natural materials. Located on the ground where I hear a lot of oriole chatter. We are feeding quite a few this year compared to previous years.

A leisurely walk around camp tonight with the dogs. We saw one of renters fishing, a turtle, that I am not sure what it was up to, and the red blackberries bushes flush with blossoms.

This week we traded sewing machines for fly tying and fishing gear. A good week although a bit chilly.

This week we flipped the Bear Lodge from a fishing group to a quilting group. They are busy cutting, sewing and making some beautiful items. If you have a group looking for a retreat place- the Bear Lodge is the place.

The weekend was enjoyed by this group of guys who enjoy getting together to fish, play cards, jam on their musical instruments and of course a campfire is a must. And they already have plans to return next year. Do you need a place to retreat with friends and family? Come to Pine Village.

Our first duck siting on Little Pine Creek tonight at Pine Village. Walked the 1 mile loop. We welcome our first guests in 2 weeks. We have some good weeks open, come stay with us.

We listened and made a change to the main floor bedroom in the Bear Lodge. From a queen platform bed, that was high for many our guests, to a set of XL Twin beds. So no more running jumps to get in bed. This will also be nicer for our groups. Let us know what you think now.
