Very, very difficult to write this post. The area we had warned about in previous posts near Manhattan reef had a pickup go through this morning. Rescue efforts are underway. This makes me sick to my stomach as we try very hard to warn people about bad areas. Anglers NEED TO MARK OPEN AREAS CAUSED BY FISH HOUSE EROSION with tree branches!

NO VEHICLE TRAFFIC ADVISED ON THE ICE.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of this accident.

Please, keep comments respectful and join us in prayer also for the rescue workers on site.

The ice fishing has been heating up in the Northeast corner of the state this last week, and with warmer conditions coming up, it looks to get better! We've been busy with fishermen staying at our lodge the last few weeks with great luck. Looking forward to our up coming groups for their stay and see what they catch!
