A big thank you to Troy Thompson, Mark Fowlkes, Erin Barr, and Casey Joubert, with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission and our dedicated volunteers, including some of our own staff members, for their hard work planting water willows along the shoreline at Cane Creek Park!

Water willows play an important role in protecting our lake by helping reduce shoreline erosion, improving water quality, and providing valuable habitat for fish, amphibians, and other aquatic wildlife. These native plants create healthier ecosystems both above and below the water's surface.

Projects like this are made possible through strong partnerships and volunteers who are willing to roll up their sleeves and make a difference. We appreciate everyone who contributed their time and effort to help preserve and enhance Cane Creek Lake for future generations.

Thank you for helping keep Cane Creek Park a thriving place for both people and wildlife!
