Lafayette's Oceanfront Resort is in the heart of the Southern Maine Coast, directly on Wells Beach, one of the largest sandy beaches in Maine. We have a complex of nine different buildings, five of which sit right on the beach. We are open year round so you do not need to miss any season. Although summer is certainly the most popular season in Maine, the beauty of this coastal area is enchanting t

hroughout the year. Wells Beach is fun for families. Walk from your room onto the sand to swim, build sand castles, stroll in the surf looking for shells and rocks or just relax and enjoy the feel of the sun on your face while you enjoy the view. The indoor pool and the hot tub with a waterfall are very relaxing after a hot day in the sun. The playground and the arcade will entertain the children after the beach. The trolleys will take you all over town in the evening to go shopping and to local restaurants. There are fifty antique shops in Wells, offering an exciting experience for the first time buyer or a serious buying trip for the professional dealer. Our friendly, helpful staff will help you find your way to a great day or night of fun and excitement. We have spectacular sunrises in the morning over the water, followed by romantic moonrises in the evening. This is where memories that last a lifetime are made. What will you remember? Forbes is officially open for the season 🌊 Located right at Lafayette’s Oceanfront, Forbes Seafood reopened yesterday and is back serving the start of the season in Wells Beach.

Limited hours through mid June, so be sure to stop in and kick off your beach day right!
