A decade has passed. If you would have asked me 10 years ago how we would be celebrating our 10 year anniversary I probably would have said something special...like a trip to Alaska....Europe...Hawaii. I guarantee I wouldn't have said 'hopefully we spend it running a canoe rental'😂
But here we are...running a canoe rental with a 4 month old and 2.5 year old. Every day is an adventure of its own around here!
Here's to many more decades to celebrate in who knows what fashion🥂😅 Happy 10 years, Jake!

Our new deluxe 2-person glamping tent is finished and ready to host you! Inside of the tent you will find a king-sized bed, two nightstands, table and chairs, and a fan. There is plenty of space for a cot or air mattress on the floor of the tent for an additional guest.
The tent also has 3 windows, as well as the front door, that zip open, allowing a fresh breeze throughout the tent. There is electricity in the tent, too! You will find a power strip to be able to plug in a light and charge phones.
There is also a 'coffee nook', complete with a one-burner propane stove, tea kettle, water pitcher, a pour-over for making coffee, two coffee cups, coffee filters, and ground coffee.
Outside the tent there is a fire pit with an adjustable grate, water spigot, picnic table, and locking trash can (we change this daily for you).

The Pine peaked at 385 CFS on Friday from the storms last week, but has since come back down to 290 CFS. We have heard of one new portage between Elm Flats and Dobson. Josh and Brent are heading out this afternoon to clear it.
Although we have already cleared Skookum to Walker, we received a report that said there are three new portages about 1 hour upstream of Silver Creek. And we still have not gotten upstream to clear Briar Patch to Skookum. We will keep posting when there are cutting updates available! Dobson to Low Bridge is still smooth-sailing as far as we know, so there's still plenty of cleared river to get out and enjoy it.

Hello HEAT WAVE! It is definitely feeling like summer here in northern Michigan☀
The Pine is running below average for this time of year at 208 CFS. Last week, one team of guys revisited Dobson to Peterson while another revisited Peterson to Low Bridge to perform low water safety work.

If you're ever in our area on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, be sure to check out this fantastic roadside farm stand. It's located only 2 miles from us - just down the road from Kestelwoods Campground. Casey and Steven do a great job keeping it stocked with freshly made baked goods and seasonal veggies from their garden!😃

Giveaway time! The first person to correctly identify the 4 animals and 1 plant wins a $10 gift certificate to be used this summer in our gift shop or towards a paddling/camping trip. And we're just going to go off of the honor system and ask you to not use AI for your answers😅
The pictures were either taken in our campground, on the Pine, or on the deer trail that leads to the river from our campground. They are courtesy of a customer who camps multiple times a year with us!

What a beautiful weekend we had for camping and paddling! The Pine is running below average for this time of year around 225 CFS.
Just a reminder that Briar Patch to Skookum still has not been cleared for the season. We will hopefully get to that soon, as well as revisiting Dobson to Low Bridge to do some low water safety work. There is also a new tree down between Lincoln and Elm Flats. It looks like it is a little tight, but you should be able to get under it.
