Every Glacier season eventually reaches the point where someone says, “Honestly… it probably won’t feel THAT cold.” 😂

Somehow this still seems like a good idea every single year.

One of our favorite parts of spring is watching a new season of friendships, families connecting, adventure, questionable decisions & lifelong Glacier memories begin all over again.
We’re here for it.

Some of the most magical Glacier experiences happens after dark.

It appears this summer’s Logan Pass Star Parties are expected to fall on:
• July 17
• August 14
• September 4

These special evenings are usually only held a few times each summer and bring together awesome telescopes, Glacier National Park Rangers, volunteer astronomers, alpine night skies, and that unforgettable feeling of standing at Logan Pass while the Milky Way slowly emerge above the mountains.

If you’ve never experienced Glacier after sunset, it’s hard to fully describe just how special it feels up there and the night sky takes over.
A few things many visitors don’t realize:
• attendance @ the Star Party is intentionally limited
• vehicle passes have historically disappeared very quickly
• Logan Pass gets surprisingly cold after dark — even in midsummer
• a little advance planning makes all the difference

We’ll happily continue sharing local tips and planning strategies as summer gets closer for anyone hoping to experience one of Glacier’s most memorable nights. 😊

And for our 3BB guests staying during Star Party weekends… we may already be planning a few cozy extras ☕🧺that take it to the next level.

Feels like everything around Glacier is really waking up this week — bears moving around again, deer & elk shedding winter coats everywhere, hummingbirds buzzing past, robins building nests… while the mountains picked up another fresh dusting of snow overnight & the rivers keep running faster every day.

One of those weeks sunshine, rain, snow, where you can really feel the seasons changing again.

Behind the beauty of Glacier’s west side is a quiet network of people who show up when it matters most. This thoughtful local piece highlights the volunteer firefighters serving the communities surrounding Glacier National Park — often with limited resources and countless volunteer hours.
Knowing many of these volunteers personally, we have a deep appreciation for the time, effort, and sacrifice they give to these mountain communities. Worth the read. ❤️🚒💪🏻

🚒 Three million visitors pass through Badrock Canyon every summer — and when something goes wrong, it's local volunteers who show up first.

The Coram-West Glacier, Martin City and Hungry Horse volunteer fire departments have joined forces to expand their medical response capabilities, pooling 12 new EMT-trained volunteers for the Canyon QRU.

Glacier Sky Watch 🌌 Tonight
NOAA is calling for a KP8, which means the northern lights could dance over Glacier National Park if the skies cooperate.
Flathead Valley folks know the drill—inversion and low clouds are the wildcard. Sometimes all it takes is a lucky break or a little elevation.
Grab hot chocolate, wrap in a cozy blanket, and step outside—nights like this remind us why living (or visiting) here feels magical. ✨

Many visitors to Glacier will remember the Cattle Baron Supper Club in Babb, a longtime, family-run restaurant enjoyed by locals and travelers alike. Sadly, the restaurant was recently lost to a fire.
