Nessie we love you!

How cool and crazy looking is Nessie in this shot!! Nessie is our salty/siamese hybrid crocodile. Her jaws are also a little crooked, which I was told is because she got in a fight with TWO Cuban crocodiles at her former home, killing one and ripping the bottom jaw off the other, and permanently damaging her jaws in the process. Crazy!

Not an alligator, but could almost be mistaken for one! Wow!

Of all the gators brought in this weekend to Duffy’s Gas Station nothing compared to this beast of an alligator snapping turtle that My Uncle Guy and Holden caught! What was so neat is that a friend of ours tagged and let this turtle go around 10 years ago and it was close to 50 pounds. Today it weighed 104!!!! How cool is that. Gatorland in Florida welcomed an incredibly rare leucistic alligator hatchling, one of only about eight known worldwide at the time.

Its pale white skin comes from leucism, a rare genetic condition that reduces pigmentation without removing it completely.

Unlike an albino alligator, this youngster still has some pigment, including striking blue eyes.

With so few leucistic alligators ever documented, the hatchling quickly became one of the rarest and most remarkable animals ever born at Gatorland.
