Visiting Yellowstone in 2026? Here’s an Important Update for Our International Guests
If Yellowstone National Park is on your travel itinerary (and it should be!), we want to share an important update that may affect international, non-U.S. resident travelers and help you save money while exploring America’s national parks.
New National Park Fees for Non-U.S. Residents
According to the National Park Service, non-U.S. residents aged 16 and older are now required to pay a $100 nonresident fee per person, in addition to standard park entrance fees, when visiting the national parks.
This applies whether you’re:
• Driving a private vehicle
• Visiting as part of a tour group
• Entering with a commercial or concessioner group
What Does That Mean in Real Numbers?
For an international group of four adults (age 16+) entering Yellowstone in one private vehicle, the total cost for just 7 days can be $435. Double or triple that if you include other national park visits within the area.
That’s where a smarter option comes in…
The Best Value: America the Beautiful Annual Pass
For international travelers planning to visit more than one national park, the America the Beautiful Annual Pass is the most cost-effective choice.
• ✔ One flat fee of $250
• ✔ Covers one private vehicle OR up to four per-person entry fees
• ✔ Valid for 12 months from the purchase date
• ✔ Grants unlimited access to ALL U.S. National Parks
Even if you’re only visiting Yellowstone once, the annual pass can save money for families or groups—and it’s perfect if your journey includes other national parks.
Our Tip for a Smooth Visit
We recommend reviewing your travel plans and considering the America the Beautiful Annual Pass before entering the park. It simplifies entry, reduces costs, and lets you focus on what really matters—geyser watching, wildlife spotting, and making unforgettable memories.
The ClubHouse Inn is designed for travelers who want a little extra space to relax after a big day in Yellowstone. Located just outside the West Entrance, our hotel offers modern comfort, welcoming amenities, and quick access to the park’s most iconic sights.
Whether you’re soaking in the hot tub or enjoying a peaceful night’s sleep, the ClubHouse Inn is a favorite for guests who like to explore by day and unwind by night.
If you have questions, our front desk team is happy to help—we love talking travel!

# Taste of the West: A Mom's Guide to Family-Friendly Eats from ClubHouse Inn West Yellowstone

Let me tell you, feeding a family while on vacation can be quite the adventure. But here in West Yellowstone? It's a breeze! As a mom of both little ones and teens, I've discovered that staying at the ClubHouse Inn West Yellowstone is like hitting the jackpot when it comes to keeping everyone's tummies happy and full.

First off, can we talk about how amazing it is to have so many great dining options nearby? After a long day of corralling kids through Yellowstone National Park, the last thing I want to do is search far and wide for a good meal. From the ClubHouse Inn, we're perfectly situated to enjoy some of the best eats in town.

Now, let's dish about the food. Our days always start with the complimentary breakfast at the ClubHouse Inn. Talk about a spread that fuels you for a day of adventure! The star of the show? Their automatic pancake machine! My kids are absolutely fascinated by it - press a button and voila! Perfect pancakes every time. It's become our morning ritual, and I swear the smell of fresh pancakes and coffee is enough to get even my grumpiest teen out of bed with a smile.

For dinner, we've got a couple of favorites. Madison Crossing Lounge has been a go-to spot. It's only a short walk from ClubHouse Inn, which is perfect when you're dealing with tired kids (and equally tired parents!). They've got this amazing trout dish that's absolutely delicious - it's so good, it's even tempted my "I don't eat fish" son to give it a try.

But let me tell you about our newest obsession: Firehole Barbecue Company. Oh. My. Goodness. This place is a carnivore's dream come true! My husband and teenage son practically drool at the mention of their name. And get this – they're not just locally famous, they're nationally recognized! Firehole Barbecue Company was even featured on Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." My kids thought it was the coolest thing ever to eat at a restaurant that Guy Fieri visited. Their pulled pork is out of this world, and don't even get me started on the brisket. Even my picky eater cleaned her plate!

Now, if you've got a sweet tooth in the family (and let's be honest, who doesn't?), you've got to try the huckleberry ice cream. It's a local specialty that you can find at several spots around town. My youngest has dubbed it "purple heaven," and now it's all she talks about. It's become our special dessert treat, and hunting for the best scoop in town has turned into a fun family activity. We've tried it at so many places, I've lost count!

But here's the real secret – and fellow moms, listen up – West Yellowstone has some fantastic options for when Mom and Dad need a little grown-up time. After the kids are tuckered out from a day of adventure (thank you, comfortable ClubHouse Inn beds!), my husband and I have explored some of the local bars. The Yellowstone Tap Room quickly became our favorite. They've got this amazing selection of Montana microbrews and local spirits. It's like a little oasis of adult conversation, just a short walk away from our home base at ClubHouse Inn.

And let's not forget about those crisp Montana mornings when you need a strong cup of coffee to face a day of family activities. Free Heel and Wheel has been my lifesaver. Their coffee is hands-down the best in town. Pair it with one of their yummy pastries, and you've got the perfect start to your day. It's my little moment of zen before the day's excitement begins.

What I love most about the food scene here is how it changes with the seasons. In spring, we've enjoyed fresh salads at Madison Crossing that even got my veggie-averse son to eat something green. Summer brought us amazing berry desserts that had my daughter proclaiming she was going to become a "berry farmer" when she grows up. Fall? Oh, the apple treats! And in winter, there's nothing better than warming up with a hearty bowl of wild game after a day of snow adventures.

Staying at the ClubHouse Inn West Yellowstone has made our family vacations so much easier and tastier. There's something for everyone, from my adventurous eater to my "I only eat chicken nuggets" phase kid to Dad wanting Elk Tenderloin.

If you're planning a family trip to Yellowstone, take it from this mom – the ClubHouse Inn is where you want to be. Not just for the comfy rooms and the indoor pool (which, trust me, you'll appreciate after a long day), but for the convenient access to all these amazing food options, plus the money-saving perks like free breakfast.

So, come on over to the ClubHouse Inn West Yellowstone. Where the beds are comfy, the breakfast is free (with unlimited pancakes!), and making your kids happy is just a stone's throw away. Your family food adventure awaits!

Remember, kids, calories don't count on vacation! (Okay, they do, but with all the exploring you'll be doing in Yellowstone, it all balances out, right? Right???)

My esteemed countrymen, I would be remiss not to include the splendid West Gate Hotel among the exemplary lodges from which you can immerse yourselves in the full splendor of West Yellowstone's Fourth of July celebrations. Much like its brethren, the ClubHouse Inn and Kelly Inn, the West Gate Hotel offers unparalleled convenience that allows you to revel in the patriotic pageantry while basking in utmost comfort.
But this town's prime location offers more than just accessibility to its festive Independence Day observances. Lest we forget, West Yellowstone stands as the gateway to one of our nation's most cherished natural wonders - Yellowstone National Park, the first and oldest of America's national parks.
Can you imagine a more fitting locale to commemorate our hard-won liberties than amidst the awe-inspiring vistas, prismatic hot springs, and majestic wildlife that abound in this vast wilderness expanse? As you explore Yellowstone's trails and geysers, let the sublimity of its unspoiled landscapes imbue you with a profound appreciation for the freedoms we celebrate.
The ClubHouse Inn, Kelly Inn, and West Gate Hotel do not merely provide respite from your adventures – they serve as elegant gateways to this natural sanctuary. After immersing yourselves in Yellowstone's grandeur by day, you can return to these exceptional lodgings and seamlessly transition into the evening's patriotic festivities without ever leaving West Yellowstone's charming environs.
From the vantage point of your accommodations, gaze out upon the wilderness panorama as the night's dazzling fireworks display unfurls across the starry skies. Let this juxtaposition of nature's timeless masterpieces and man's celebratory artistry etch itself into your memories – a uniquely American experience that pays homage to both our independence and our bountiful landscapes.
