โ ๏ธTRAVEL ALERTโ ๏ธ | Heavy weekend traffic expected on CO 69 between Walsenburg & Texas Creek
CO 69 is expected to have an increased numbers of traffic 7/9 to 7/12 for a music festival in Westcliffe. Alternate routes to Westcliffe are currently closed due to the Aspen Acres fire burning in Pueblo County and Custer County . CO 96 is closed west of Pueblo, and CO 69 is accessible via CO 69 from Walsenburg off of I-25 and from US 50 at Texas Creek.
๐ง๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐น ๐๐บ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐: Beginning Thursday (7/9), motorists on CO 69 will encounter increased traffic due to the closure of CO 96 west of Pueblo. Detour routes include:
๐ธSouthern route - I-25 to Walsenburg then north on CO 69 to Westcliffe
๐ธNorthern route - US 50 to Texas Creek (27 miles west of Canon City)
