Prince of Wales Eagle Lodge Lodge on Prince of Wales Island, Alaska offering self-guided hunting, guided and self-guided fishing.

Whether you want to spin cast or fly fish streams for multiple species of spawning salmon, troll or cast the salt water as they head to our famous Neck Lake Outlet, hit the lakes and streams for trout, fish the ocean floor for halibut and other bottom fish, chase the spring or fall steelhead run, pull a crab pot full of crabs, hunt the spring or fall black bear or rutting Sitka blacktail deer, or spend your free time enjoying the wildlife and breathtaking scenery, we have what you want!

I've been getting questions regarding Black Bear hunts lately so just a refresher for all Non-Resident Self-Guided hunters. Black Bear in our unit (GMU #2) is a draw only hunt which you will need to apply for during the Draw Application period which is November 1-December 15th via Alaska Alaska Department of Fish and Game. When you apply this year you are applying for the Fall 2027 or Spring 2028 hunts.

It's been a fun month and now that the rain finally returned the fish are moving up the rivers and the adventures just continue to get better and better. Alpine hunts are under way and some nice deer have been harvested. We can't wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for us.
