The Carmel Police Department returned to Smith & Warren for a very meaningful project: a custom badge honoring the department’s 50th anniversary.
This milestone badge celebrates 1976–2026, recognizing 50 years of service from the Carmel Police Department. The design brings together the places, symbols, and landmarks that make Carmel recognizable to the community the department serves every day.

Key elements include:
• The Carmel water tower, placed below the top panel as a familiar local symbol
• The Palladium, representing one of Carmel’s most recognized cultural landmarks
• The Carmel Arts & Design District and gateway arch, representing one of the city’s most recognizable cultural areas and a familiar entrance into that part of Carmel
• The 1976 police station, honoring the department’s beginning
• The Monon Trail, shown through the central pathway and recognizing the trail that connects key parts of Carmel along a former rail line
• The Officer Carey statue, with the flag draped over his shoulder, honoring service, sacrifice, and the department’s tradition of patriotism
• 18 stars, recognizing the original officers from 1976

This badge is detailed, meaningful, and built with the care a 50th anniversary deserves. We are especially grateful that Carmel Police, a longtime Smith & Warren customer, trusted us again with a custom badge that honors both their department’s history and the community they serve.

Smith & Warren continues its tradition of supporting breast cancer awareness through the Pink Badge Program, providing your customers with a simple, meaningful way to show their support.

Nearly every Smith & Warren badge model is available in a pink finish. If a customer doesn’t see their model shown in pink on our website, contact us—we’ll confirm availability or create a preview to support the sale.

We donate 10% of the proceeds from every pink badge to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). In 2025 alone, we contributed $12,300, bringing our total donations to over $113,500 since the program began.

There is a simple phrase on this badge that says everything: Pride in Service.
