Off-Season Gate Closure Notice.

As we officially enter our off-season, we have made the decision to close our front gates to restrict unnecessary traffic coming in and out of the campground.

The gates will only be open Thursday through Sunday, from 3:30 PM to 8:30 PM, during restaurant hours.

We understand that our campground seems to be everyone’s favorite place to drive in and turn around, but unfortunately, you’ll have to start turning around a little earlier! 😂

We also understand that many people are genuinely curious about our campground and would like to see our campsites and cabins. We absolutely welcome that interest! However, if you’d like to view our seasonal sites or cabins for next season, we kindly ask that you schedule a time with us beforehand.

We want to remind everyone that the campground is private property and an operating business, not a public road. We aren’t aware of many privately owned campgrounds where people can simply drive through without permission or any intention of camping or visiting the restaurant. The amount of unnecessary traffic we’ve experienced has become excessive, and we need to do a better job of managing who enters the property.

For our current guests and customers who are still frequenting the property during the off-season, please reach out to Shane directly regarding opening and closing the front gate.

We truly appreciate everyone who supports our campground and restaurant, and we thank you all for your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our property safe, private, and enjoyable for our guests.

🍂 Our 2026 season is coming to a close! 🍂

October 15th is officially the last day of our peak season here at Champ’s Campground & RV Park. We can’t thank everyone enough for making the 2026 season so special. Whether you stayed for a night, a weekend, the season, or just stopped by to visit—we truly appreciate every one of you!

⚡ OFF-SEASON CAMPING: We will have a limited number of electric-only campsites available after October 15th. Our bathrooms and showers will remain available during this time.

❄️ WINTER STORAGE: We’re offering winter storage for BOATS 🚤 & RVs 🚐 for just $50/month.

🏕️ 2027 SEASONAL SITES: We’ll also be opening up seasonal sites to be reserved for the 2027 camping season! Our seasonal rate for NEW seasonal campers for the 2027 season is $2,995. Reserve your seasonal on or before January 1st for $2,595. After January 1st, the seasonal rate will be $2,995.

What an awesome weekend so far! 👣🌲

We just want to take a moment to say how incredibly thankful and grateful we are for all of the campers who chose to stay with us at Champs Campground & RV Park this weekend. We’re having an absolute blast with all of you!

Bigfoot Festival weekend is one of our favorite weekends of the year. We love seeing Whitehall come alive with campers, visitors, vendors, and people from all over coming together to enjoy everything our little town has to offer.

And we’re not done yet! The festival is still in full swing, so if you’re anywhere near Whitehall, come on down, check out all of the vendors, and enjoy the festivities! 👣

To everyone staying with us this weekend, THANK YOU for choosing Champs to be your home base for Bigfoot weekend. We hope you’re having as much fun as we are, and we hope to see you all back again next year!
