Ever wondered what sits inside the iconic cupola atop the Hotel at Old Town?
When our building was constructed in 1906 as the Keen Kutter warehouse, it housed a 20,000-gallon water tank that powered the building's state-of-the-art fire suppression system, helping protect what was once considered one of the strongest and most fireproof warehouses in the country.
Today, that same cupola still stands as a symbol of our history. Instead of safeguarding thousands of tools and sporting goods, it watches over guests creating new memories in the heart of Wichita's Old Town.
