Well we are to the last few days that we will be running The Hotel Wilber. It is almost 8 years that we have been here. I have had the best anyone could ask for in the staff that I have. We are all like family. Wanted to clear up something, we were not asked to leave, I made the decision in November. Economy has played a big part in this decision, I need to provide a more stable life for myself, and it was a hard decision to make. You know The Hotel has so many misteries....She hold so many secrets. What must of happened here, and even the first building, it was built in 1888 and was built out of wood, unfortunetly it burned down Jan. of 1895, and the new building of stone and mortar was ready by Aug. of 1895. So many stories , I guess one that I will never forget is swisher sweet ci**rs. In the late 1960's the Hotel was home to many elderly gentlemen. I am blessed with being able to smell the ci**rs when no one else can. One night when I went home into the garage, I smelled the ci**rs, I just asked the guys to just go back to the Hotel, never smelled them again at home but still do at the Hotel, whn no one else can. It is truly amazing and for any one who has never set foot in the Hotel, you don't know what you are missing. Come in and enjoy the last few days that we will be here, and don't forget the Wing Wars Saturday Night.....starting at 7:00!
