We are excited to host Rushing Wind USA again for the youth deer hunt this weekend!

Wisconsin’s annual youth gun deer hunt is this weekend, Oct. 5-6.

The youth hunt is an opportunity for hunters aged 15 and under to experience the tradition of hunting in Wisconsin when the weather is a little warmer and the deer are less pressured than during the 9-day gun season. It’s a chance for mentors to pass on valuable hunting knowledge and make memories that inspire the next generation of hunters.

A youth hunter can participate in the hunt with or without hunter education certification while under the watchful eye of a mentor.

Remember, the youth hunt is a firearm season, so blaze orange or pink is required for any hunter anywhere in the state, except when hunting waterfowl.
