Welcome to the Soldier’s Retreat—a guest suite inspired by the very history that surrounds Elmwood Farm. With Civil War echoes in its exposed stone walls and cozy charm in every corner, this basement-level room is unlike anything else.

Here, you'll find a rustic queen bed, heated brick floors, and a rare 6-foot clawfoot soaker tub beside a stone-walled shower. It’s not just beautiful—it’s also wheelchair accessible, with thoughtful accommodations throughout.

Just minutes from Antietam Battlefield, the Potomac River, and historic Williamsport, the Soldier’s Retreat is where history, comfort, and care come together.

A beautiful floral vision does not always have to be all-or-nothing. If an inspiration arrangement is outside the budget, there are ways to scale it back. That might mean making the arrangement smaller, using fewer premium blooms, or choosing flowers with a similar look at a more comfortable price. The goal is to keep the feeling of the design while making it realistic for the couple.

The shoe collection is still going on and there is still time if you would like to donate by Saturday let us know and you can drop off right here at the farm or bring with you to this awesome event !!

We have some incredible shoe collectors in our community, and we want to give a special shoutout to the groups and individuals leading the way for Soles of Hope: Wild Wild West so far!

Our current top shoe collectors are:

👟 Bulldog Federal Credit Union – 243 pairs
👟 Citi – 162 pairs
👟 Jenny and David Belliotti – 127 pairs
👟 Super Shoes – 94 pairs
👟 The Hershey Group at RBC Wealth Management - 89 pairs

We are SO appreciative of the incredible work these groups and individuals have put into collecting shoes for local children!

But we also want to make something very clear: EVERY. SINGLE. PAIR. MATTERS.

Whether you donated one pair, five pairs, fifty pairs, or collected more than 200, you are part of this effort! Every pair represents a child in our community who will receive a brand-new pair of shoes because someone cared enough to help.

We have had individuals, families, businesses, organizations, employees, volunteers, and community partners show up for our kids, and we are incredibly grateful for every single one of you.

Our goal is 2,200 pairs of new shoes, and it is going to take all of us to get there! Thank you to everyone who has donated, collected, shared our posts, hosted a collection box, or encouraged someone else to give.

This is what collective impact looks like, and we couldn’t do it without you!
