It started at a ski shop in 2010, though neither of them knew it yet. 🤍

Nick and Liz met working part-time at their local ski shop, where a shared love of skiing gave them plenty to talk about. They became friends first and stayed that way for years. And we mean years. Everyone else saw it coming long before they did.

Somewhere between the traveling, the skiing, and the laughing, they realized there was something more. After a few years of dating, Nick proposed on New Year’s Day, 2025.

When it came time to choose a venue, they wanted a sense of romance and character that a typical wedding venue couldn’t offer. The historic architecture, the grand ballrooms, and the old-world charm of HOTEL DU PONT made it the perfect setting for their dream winter wedding.

The black-tie evening felt like an alpine escape, with a custom ski gondola es**rt display inviting guests to “Take a Peak, Find Your Seat,” towering florals and evergreens, and a palette of emerald, burgundy, ivory, and gold. Guests signed wooden skis instead of a guest book, toasted with signature cocktails named “First Chair” and “Last Call,” and danced on a burgundy-and-white checkerboard floor with the couple’s gold monogram.

Sixteen years after a ski shop shift, the slow burn was worth the wait. Congratulations, Nick & Liz. We are honored to have hosted your beautiful day. 🤍
