The Granary keeps its rustic bones on purpose, barnwood walls, and a genuine old barn door separating the bath from the rest of the suite. We didn't dress up a modern room to look old; the materials are doing the actual work.

Past that door: a private entrance, an iron king bed with lavish bedding, antique furniture throughout, and a porch view over the valley, spring-fed creek, garden, cows and wildlife.

This is the suite people book for an anniversary and then ask to rebook a year later. 🌾

We could've modernized every corner of this place. We didn't, on purpose. No keycards, no vending-machine hallway, no room that feels like it could be in any city, in any state, attached to any airport.

What you get instead: real wood, real age, real quiet. It's a trade we'd make again every time.

August has a way of reminding us that slower isn’t such a bad thing.

Mornings with coffee on the porch. Afternoons floating in the new pool. Evenings watching the wildlife with a glass of w**e. And nowhere you really need to be.

After a vacation that didn’t quite go as planned, we found ourselves spending a little more time right here at the ranch. Somewhere between the Hill Country views, the fresh cedar around the old water tower, and Bailey’s latest round of mischief, we realized something.

Sometimes the getaway you need is simply a place that gives you permission to slow down.

A hotel room is 400 square feet. We're working with 25 acres, and every one of those extra square feet is doing something for you. Dark enough skies to actually see the Milky Way, quiet enough that ""privacy"" isn't just a word on the website.

This is the part that's hardest to photograph and easiest to feel the second you get out of the car.

Tag someone who needs space, literally.

We didn't name this place for marketing.

We named it because at 7:52pm, from this exact spot, the whole Hill Country turns the color of the inside of a peach and we couldn't call it anything else.

Late August sunsets here run long and slow. Guests who book a sunset-facing room usually end up on the porch by 7:30 and phones down by 7:45.
