A Little Piece of Mom Is Still With Me…

Since we began serving breakfast on the weekends at The Fox and The Farmhouse, I've found myself thinking about my mom more than ever.

I remember standing beside her in the kitchen as she taught me little things, often joking, “You know, I'm not going to be around forever!”

Oh, how I wish I could have those moments back. ❤️

But the beautiful thing is, every weekend as I prepare breakfast for our guests, I realize she's still right there with me.

From the scarves I wear around my neck, just like she always did, to her old measuring spoons that I still use today, little pieces of Mom are woven into my everyday life.

With the holidays approaching, I'd love to hear from you. What are two things your mom taught you that you still do, or two special things of hers you still treasure?

We are thrilled to have Kelly joining The Fox and The Farmhouse family as we continue creating unique experiences, memorable gatherings, and special events for our guests.

Kelly recently retired from Winder-Barrow High School after 32 years of dedicated service as an educator. Throughout her teaching career, she developed an incredible ability to organize, inspire, connect with people, and bring ideas to life.

With her creativity, attention to detail, organizational talents, and genuine love for people, Kelly brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to this exciting new role.

From our themed weekends and murder mystery dinners to seasonal celebrations and intimate gatherings, Kelly will help us bring even more memorable experiences to life at the farmhouse.

As we continue to grow, we're especially excited to have someone who shares our passion for hospitality, meaningful connections, and making people feel welcome.

After yesterday's Georgia vs. Auburn game, our very own Concierge Kitty, Jericho, knew exactly what was needed...a little extra love, a warm snuggle, and some much-needed consolation!

At The Fox and The Farmhouse, Jericho takes his concierge duties seriously… especially when it comes to comforting a disappointed Georgia fan! 😂

The Dawgs may not have pulled off the win, but Jericho is undefeated when it comes to making folks feel better! 🐾

A Three-Course Farmhouse Breakfast

Made with love and served with a little Southern hospitality at The Fox and The Farmhouse.

First Course | Pumpkin Cheesecake Delight

We began the morning with a sweet little taste of autumn! Our creamy pumpkin cheesecake, gently spiced with warm fall flavors, was nestled atop a buttery gingersnap crust. Finished with a delicate swirl of whipped cream, gingersnap crumbles, and a touch of orange zest, then beautifully presented with fresh seasonal fruit, candied pecans, and a drizzle of caramel.

Second Course | Farmhouse Florentine Quiche

For our main course, we served individual Florentine quiches, baked until golden and fluffy with tender spinach and a delicious blend of cheeses. Each was accompanied by crispy applewood-smoked bacon, two warm, homemade cheddar buttermilk biscuits, and fresh seasonal fruit. A comforting taste of Southern hospitality!

Third Course | Garden-Fresh Carrot Cake

To finish our breakfast on a sweet note, guests enjoyed a slice of homemade carrot cake, lovingly prepared with carrots harvested right from our own farmhouse garden. A little homegrown goodness and the perfect treat to enjoy later in the day!
