Many of our guests ask how often we fish or float. Well not as often as we like but today was an exception. Spent the day kayaking with part of the family/extended family and met up with the rest on the Sand Spring Gravel Bar. The river is in our blood and has been for generations. Still building the legacy! Blessed and thankful for a great season. Happy Labor Day

Four generations together on the river. Pretty special when you stop and think about it. Just enjoying the day and making memories with the people we love most.

The Glendenning family adopted Mikey with the purchase of Sand Spring Resort in 2003. He was our night office guy, tied flies and most wouldn’t know that he was the chef behind the ribs, grilled chicken and pork butt which were regular items on the buffet in the original Sand Spring Restaurant. He became a great friend for our family and a dedicated employee to both Riverfornt and Sand Spring for many years. He will be missed!

Michael D. Runyon passed away on 8-27-26

“Mikey” was a well known face around Bennett Spring and worked at Riverfront for many years. He was a trusted friend and loved us all very much as we loved him. Mike was a Dad, Grandpa and friend to all. He was a Christian , Navy Vet and a retired auto worker with Chrysler . We already miss him.

We are pleased to announce that construction is set to resume on the Bennett Spring Fish Hatchery Renovation Project!

‼️🚧 Work will resume today, July 21, to remove debris along the turbidity curtain. Rip rap will be placed around the newly constructed fishing platform during this time, which may disturb some debris (leaves and such) that has settled over the existing rock previously placed. 🚧‼️

As a courtesy and precaution for anglers, signs will be posted to inform and warn anglers about vegetation debris flowing downstream and small boat navigating along the turbidity curtain.

River might be brown but the spring branch is in really nice shape. Fishing has been great.
