It was our pleasure to host Rachael Waller, daughter of famed author Robert James Waller who penned "The Bridges of Madison County" for the 55th Annual Madison County Covered Bridge Festival! Rachael participated in a discussion at the Iowa Theater about her father and the creation of the 1992 best-selling romance novel, in which Winterset served as the backdrop. Rachael and her friends stayed at The Bungalow and had a great time together!

We welcome anyone who wants a girls weekend, a few days in our enchanting community with friends, or a week with family enjoying everything Madison County has to offer! ❤️❤️
