Wrapping up our wedding season today with our last one for the year! Two years ago we set out to do a handful of small intimate weddings and this year we’ve hosted 9 including today’s celebration!

I think I need a weekend to recover from our weekend! 😂

Thursday started with wedding setup in the rain. Thankfully, our wedding family was absolutely amazing, flexible, and never once panicked. Their attitude and trust meant more to us than they probably realize. We are SO grateful for people like them! ❤️

Friday was wedding day, and Mother Nature kept us on our toes with morning showers. But just when we needed it, the skies cleared, the sun came out, and we got to witness a beautiful ceremony. ☀️💍

Saturday? No time to catch our breath! One wedding family checked out, we turned everything around, and our next small wedding family moved in for their afternoon Wedding in the Woods. 🌲✨

Meanwhile, our regular weekend guests were arriving for check-in, Sunday checkouts were on the horizon, and we were getting ready for a very special proposal in the woods! 🥹💍❤️

Three days. Two weddings. A proposal. Regular guest arrivals and departures. Countless details, moving pieces, and memories being made all at once!

I’m not going to lie… we are EXHAUSTED from trying to keep every detail straight and make sure everything stays on track. 😂 There were a lot of moving parts, a lot of running around, and probably a few moments when we wondered what day it actually was!

But we couldn’t do it without our amazing team! A HUGE shoutout to our incredible bartenders, Amanda and Rian, our guest experience host, Nikki and our reliable cleaning team That Glassey Finish and Sara! ❤️ Thank you for all the help, hard work, and support along the way. Having people who jump in, step up, and help make all the pieces come together is something we never take for granted. We appreciate you more than you know!

But then we stop and think about what we got to be a part of this weekend. ❤️

Two couples beginning a new chapter. A question that will be remembered forever. Families celebrating love. Guests making memories of their own. All happening here, in our little slice of Wisconsin Dells.

And THAT is why we do what we do. 🤍

It’s the wonderful people, the amazing guests, the flexibility when things don’t go as planned, and the unforgettable moments that make every bit of the hard work worth it.

We may need a nap (or three 😴), but our hearts are full!

Five years ago today, I received a call I never thought I’d get. It changed our lives forever.

There are moments that divide your life into a before and an after. October 4th will always be that day for us. Two young lives were cut short on the way home from school.

We don’t share much of our personal journey on our business page. But today, it feels appropriate to give you a glimpse into how our tragedy shaped what we’ve created here at Sandstone.

Sandstone was never meant to be just another place to stay. It grew from our own understanding of how quickly life can change—and how deeply people need a place to step away from the noise, slow down, reconnect and simply breathe.

In many ways, we created the kind of place we needed ourselves.

I’ve been working on this song for quite some time—trying to find the right sound, the right feeling and enough soul to tell that story.

I didn’t want to create music just to create music. I wanted to create something you could feel.

Something that carries the pain of what we’ve walked through, but also the love, faith and hope that kept us moving when life felt impossibly heavy.

“The River Flows” is deeply personal. It’s about loss. It’s about holding on. It’s about learning that life continues to move—even when part of you wishes the whole world would stop.

Most of us carry things we don’t always have the words to explain. My hope is that when you listen, you hear a piece of your own story in it too. That you feel understood. That you remember you’re not alone.

This isn’t just a song.

It’s a piece of our story.
A piece of my heart.
And a glimpse into the deeper purpose behind Sandstone.

On a day that carries so much weight for our family, it feels like the right time to finally share it.
