When we're short on time and the push is on to be open by Memorial Weekend, it's time to borrow some fire hose and use a fire hydrant to fill our pool. I remember years ago, my Dad would have 6-8 garden hoses hooked up while filling the outdoor pool and it would take close to 30 hours to fill. Now we fill it in under 2 hours. Out of the tap, the temperature was reading about 55 degrees. Tuesday night, after heating for 12+ hours, it was 58 degrees. The next night it was 62 degrees, 70 the next night. Friday night the temperature was 72 and Saturday night it had gone up to 78 degrees. Tonight, its almost ready for summer at 82 degrees. I thought of my Dad as I made this quick video. When we'd go out to eat, anytime he ordered a Pepsi to drink, he would say "no ice". I always thought he was being cheap and wanted to get more Pepsi and not pay for ice, lol. At home, when he would drink his PBR, it was always at room temperature. I asked him a few times, "How can you drink that when its warm?" or "Why don't you add some ice?" He replied that he didn't care for it super cold or "I don't like ice". He would reference this saying to any guest who asked him if he ever got to enjoy the pool? He would say something like, I only go in the pool in the spring to clean it (true btw)...then he would add..."Besides, I don't like hard water". π³π€π§π§π₯€πΊπ§π§π
