We are so excited to officially welcome Colleen McGourley to the Camp Lakota family as our new Associate Director!

Colleen is joining the team with 25+ years of camp experience. Colleen’s extensive camp experience includes a wide range of camp roles, from counselor to leadership and just about everything in between! Her experience, passion, and love for camp will make her an incredible addition to our team.

Mentally, we’re here. 💙☀️

Summer camp gives kids something different from their everyday routine: more time outside, more face-to-face connection, and more opportunities to make their own choices. At Camp Lakota, summer is about giving kids the space to have fun, grow and make memories away from screens and school. 🌲

Make 2027 their best summer yet! Send this to a parent thinking about summer camp for their kid. 🏕️

Why being family-owned matters.

For more than 40 years, the Mindich family has owned and operated Camp Lakota. We don’t answer to investors or a corporate board. We answer to our campers, our families, our staff, and to the generations who have called this place home.
We’re here. We’re involved. And the decisions we make are about what we believe is best for Lakota- not just for next summer, but for the summers still to come.
We know how much trust it takes to send your child away to camp, and we will never take that responsibility for granted.
Family owned. Family operated. And very proud to call Lakota our forever home. 💙🩶
