This photograph from the Sandusky Library/Follett House Museum shows workers at the South Quarry on Kelley's Island, July 23, 1896. Limestone quarried at Kelley's Island was brought by rail to the docks, loaded onto ships, and then transported to places like Cleveland and Detroit for construction and agricultural purposes. https://bit.ly/2M4veG0
