Leo - sitting on the old stone wall outside of the Platation Cottage, a Danish-era structure, dating to about 1720. My parents’ first home.
About 30 years ago, as as young St. Lucian - and fairly fresh to St. John - as we were building an inn, in the 1980’s, Leo repaired that very stone wall that he is now sitting on. Nothing like old friends.❤️😎
The wall is low and graceful in shape - curvilinear - first laid by my father about 1951, following what was there, before, as they made the ruin habitable. No electricity or vehicles - just a donkey. This structure is a quiet and strong reminder of when life was more “simple.” The plantation cottage is my favorite building of all time. ❤️
Leo loves his leaf blower😃but is considerate of when and where to use it.
It’s so much easier than sweeping up leaves and fallen bougainvillea flowers, that it’s his favorite tool!😎
