Here’s to 6 months of living in our camper full time 😊 were absolutely loving it, and it’s so peaceful. I will say we’re grateful our camper stays cold in the summer/warm in the winter! Definitely helps. As August is coming to an end that means winter preparations for the camper are starting! This will be our first time living in the camper through the full winter && I’d say we’re both excited && nervous for it especially a Midwest winter when we never know what we’ll have 😅😅

The cons of living in the camper where we’re currently at is there’s no storm shelter on sight but we do take precautions and know of places we can go! We also do a lot of hoping and praying 🫣

I’ll also say that we do not currently have a large camper, we have a “couples camper” so it can’t get cramped quickly especially with us & the 2 dogs.

That so far has been the biggest issue I think we’d both agree on so far.

The pros are definitely it’s peaceful, saves money & brings us closer in my opinion. We were warned prior to be cautious because it can also cause arguments. I will say of course we argue, we’re human but none of the arguments have started because of the size of the camper or being cramped. So I’m thankful we love each other 😂

I am excited for our future upgrades! We definitely have a few upgrades that’ll be happening eventually!

My favorite place on earth ☺️ went fishing with my dad today, didn’t catch anything but it was sooo peaceful.

Well we survived & hopefully all of our friends, family and followers did too! We were definitely fortunate at our house we didn’t receive any damage. We unfortunately won’t know about our camper until later.. so we’re praying to the man upstairs it stayed safe.

We do want to take a moment and send some prayers to the people of Clinton county. They were hit with a pretty bad tornado last night, and I know it did property damage.

Even though the storms didn’t do what they say it could have done being prepared is always the best answer in times like these. They alerted us, we were weather aware and so far no fatalities that’s a blessing. ❤️

So hopefully Mother Nature has calmed down for awhile & we can go back to enjoying some nice weather!

Have a great day 🫶🏼

🚨⛈️ Campground Check-In: Storm Prep for Tomorrow ⛈️🚨

Hey everyone! With the severe weather expected tomorrow, I wanted to check in and see what everyone is doing tonight to stay weather aware and prepared.

Here’s a quick reminder for all of us camping/RV living:

🌪️ Know your safe place NOW – Don’t wait until the storm hits. Identify the nearest sturdy building, bathhouse, or storm shelter.
📱 Have alerts ON – Make sure your weather notifications are enabled (phones, weather radios, apps).
🔌 Secure your setup – Bring in loose items, check cords/connections, and lower awnings.
🐾 Plan for pets – Have leashes, carriers, and a quick exit plan ready.
⛽ Be ready to move if needed – Keep your vehicle accessible and keys nearby.
🔦 Emergency kit – Flashlights, batteries, shoes, and essentials within reach.

For those in campers especially with high winds or tornado risk please don’t try to ride it out if warnings are issued. Have a plan and go early if needed.

Our little page is growing! We’ve got 76 followers ☺️ it’s been growing everyday. We’re both currently working 36-96 hours and hiding from this crazy storm coming Sunday so we won’t be at the camper. Like I’ve said previously we’re praying the camper survives these upcoming storms but we have to do what’s safest for our little family. We have to have over 100 followers before we can do live feeds. I’m hoping Tuesday if the campers intact & we can make it down there to do a tour of the inside & a video on how we clean and store things!

So if you like what we share or think a friend came benefit from us don’t hesitate to share so we can hit that 100 so we can go live with you guys

Welll guys! Monday looks crazy for the entire state of Illinois. Unfortunately our camper is right where that dark purple dots are 😅 I have the worst storm anxiety ever, besides my dog I think. So were going to take advantage of our house not selling and stay the day/night there in the basement and pray our camper doesn’t meet Dorthy & todo 🫣 So hopefully we will remain as safe as we can in Collinsville since we have a basement and well a house. It is really hard to handle these big storms without a storm shelter. So as I wanted to tell you how we deal with mother natures temper tantrums 🙃 the next place we move a storm shelter is definitely on the boxes that have to be checked!

I also want to advise everyone to stay weather aware! We are doing what is best for us to be as safe as possible & I hope you all are doing the same!

Everybody stay safe out there & let’s hope she’s done throwing a fit after this!

I’m not sure if you seen my story yesterday BUT there’s barely a better feeling when living in a camper when alll of the tanks are good to go 👏🏻👏🏻 emptying out the tanks is prolly the worst part of living in a camper & thankfully I have Andy to do that ( but we do most of it as a team) everybody says oh the black tanks the gross part, you guys I’m pretty sure the gray smells just as bad!

We’re connected to well water so we don’t usually fill our fresh tank, but seeing all green on here is such a rare occurrence because it’s hard to keep on top of them AND keep those sensors right!

I am planning on making some tour videos, and a little voiceover of me cleaning the camper & fixing up some more of the outside!

Please drop comments below on what content you’d love to see AND if you like our page feel fair to share it. We can’t go live until we have 100 followers! We’re close but we’d love to hit 100!

We didn’t do this the normal way. We didn’t just pull up to a camp site and pick up a spot. We did this a little differently, we picked a spot that nobody had been in in forever to make it home. We had to redo the electric and get a new pole ( literally so expensive ) then we had to wait for the water spigot to get fixed (that took weeks, it was also winter) then we had to work on the yard and that’s still becoming a work in progress. Since we’re full time, BUT we’re going to be stationary for awhile we’re making it a home ❤️ here’s just a few little snips of all of the progress and work we had to do.

Our first time sleeping in our camper it was like 20 degrees or something. We only had our small propane tanks that come with the camper. I was so scared we were going to run out of propane, I went and bought some monitors. I heard AWFUL reviews so I found a better way to make sure we didn’t run out of propane. Since we’re full time and stationary I called the local propane place & they do a month to month lease which is what we needed. So we lease the tank, it has a monitor. We only pay for the propane we use for the month plus 9.99 for the monitor, and they make sure the tank never goes empty, they also do safety checks inside and out of the camper for leaks which I appreciate. It’s a 120gallon tank and they just deliver the propane. So to us it’s a win/win situation. There’s so other circumstances with it but those are the main things, we really don’t have any negatives to say about it. If you have questions please ask we’re interested in answering all of the questions! ☺️
