Animals will also wallow in mud to trap external parasites which they will then rub off on a tree, stump or rock later on.

A sable family portrait. 🦌

One of the most regal antelope species in Africa.
They get their name from the dark black “sable” colour of the mature males. Both males and females have horns with the males’ growing much longer and thicker.

You’ll often see them feeding close to the road on your entry to the reserve or from the main lodge boma. 🌿
