Tiny, curious and already full of personality. These two spotted hyena cubs were spotted during one of our daily safari drives at Imbali Safari Lodge, offering a rare glimpse into the early life of one of Africa’s most intelligent and misunderstood predators.

What makes hyenas truly special is their incredible social structure and intelligence. They live in highly organised clans led by powerful females and are known for their problem-solving abilities, teamwork and unique vocal communication that echoes through the African wilderness.
