Visit to Uitkyk Pass Following Devastating Flood Damage

Last week, Premier Alan Winde and Provincial Minister Anton Bredell visited Uitkyk Pass in the Cederberg Wilderness area to assess the extent of the damage after the road was completely destroyed by flooding.

The damage to the road has had a significant impact on residents, farmers, tourism, and communities that rely on this route. During the visit, the delegation, accompanied by CapeNature personnel, examined the on-the-ground challenges and discussed possible ways forward to begin repair work.

Thank you to everyone for your patience, support, and continued cooperation during this time. Please stay safe and follow all official road signs.
