A huge thank you to Propel Africa - Destination Management for hosting our latest Nordic House members-only event, *A Night of Storytelling*. Pelle and Pernilla Landstedt brought together an inspiring group of speakers, while Pickle & Pinch treated guests to delicious snacks alongside an excellent wine tasting.
It was an evening filled with fascinating stories, meaningful conversation, and new connections.
We were privileged to hear from Christo Brand, whose reflections on leadership, friendship, resilience, and his time with Nelson Mandela offered a rare and deeply personal perspective on South Africa’s history.
We also enjoyed hearing from Trevor DeRuisé, founder of LOST BOY Wines, whose journey from California to Cape Agulhas, and from professional mountain biking to award-winning winemaking, is a story of adventure, entrepreneurship, and embracing opportunity.
Guests also heard from Theo Makhaphela of Authentic African Experiences, who shared insights into South Africa’s people, culture, and landscapes, as well as the power of creating genuine connections through travel.
Our thanks as well to Pelle and Pernilla for sharing the Propel Africa story and showcasing the partnerships and opportunities they help create across South Africa.
From township tours and conservation initiatives to wine, travel, and business, the evening was a reminder that some of the most valuable insights come through shared stories and human connection.
