This Heritage Weekend, Heirloom at Cape Grace welcomes Chef Shaun Scrooby and the team to the kitchen.

South African cooking was never one story. It’s coastal and inland, archival and innovative, memory and instinct — told in as many voices as there are hands that cook it. This collaboration brings two of those voices together, shaped by different soil and different fire, but anchored in the same passion for South African heritage flavours.

VUUR’s provenance-led, fire-driven cooking meets Chef Wesli’s refined expression of South African cuisine, on a five-course menu paired with brilliant local wines — celebrating the traditions we share and the many ways we tell our stories.
