We have some exciting news to share!

Doornkop is now officially a registered Reptile Rehab Centre, adding another important chapter to our commitment to the wildlife that calls this area home.

Our current residents include three rescued tortoises you may already know - Harriet, Randy and Dobby.

We’re proud to be able to play a part in giving rescued reptiles the care and rehabilitation they need.

A Successful Day for Doornkop Conservation!

A big thank you to the volunteers who joined Saturday’s Silver Wattle eradication efforts at Doornkop.

Despite temperatures reaching 30°C, the team worked hard to clear the Black Pearl rock pools area, making a wonderful difference to this beautiful part of the reserve.

The day ended with a well-deserved braai and some time to relax together.

Following the success of the initiative, another eradication day is being planned. Keep an eye on our page for details!

Thank you to everyone involved for helping to protect Doornkop’s natural environment.
