It is always a joy to see our guests and visitors walking through your beautiful gardens, marveling at what they discover, photographing and videoing your splendor as a reminder to their time enjoyed within your peaceful sanctuary.

It’s inspiring to hear some of our guests narrating their video stories as they wander down your pathways, sharing their joy with family and friends. The best is when they pay a promised return visit, bringing their family and friends back for a repeat visit.

And so our Yellow Aloe extended family and friends grows. 💛

Isn’t this little bright plant too beautiful?

She is called Hyobanche Sanguinea.

Would you believe it is a parasite living off the roots of its host plant, which in this case is a restio grass which is actually a reed endemic to the Southern Hemisphere. We spotted it, in the Cederberg Wilderness area.

There are still amazing plants and flowers to be discovered on foot in our beautiful Cederberg Mountains. Come and see for yourself. Pack a lunch pack and set out in the early morning when the sunlight on the rocks is magical. The silence and peace and beauty is unsurpassed. Its natures generous healing and relief for the soul.

Our precious old girl on her evening saunter with us through our gardens. Our sweet Amalia is getting a little slower but she makes sure she doesn’t miss out on her walk.

The days are getting longer and warmer, the new leaves are pushing through and the colours in our gardens are marvellous.

It’s quite incredible seeing just how many different shades of green there are in the evening light - and then there is Claude’s green bridge - soon the water lilies will be flowering too, in our new lily pond. We are so looking forward. 🌸

Come for a stroll in our gardens. It’s a special time of the day. And …. For the flower enthusiasts …. We have flowers.

Good morning Yellow Aloe - you are looking magnificent in our garden this morning in your beautiful yellow attire.

Your generous contribution in colour, commands instant attention, as well as providing a rich food source for our loved insects and pollinators makes for an amazing show for those who stay a while just just sit a while and observe the comings and goings as you glisten in the sun.
