Spring is beginning to colour Clarens again.

Fresh green leaves are returning to the trees, blossoms are starting to appear, and the mountains are taking on a softer shade as the landscape wakes up after winter. The mornings feel brighter, the afternoons warmer, and there’s that unmistakable freshness in the air.

At Mt Horeb Manor, it’s a beautiful season for breakfast with the morning sun streaming in, leisurely walks into town, and afternoons spent enjoying the changing view.

Spring is arriving slowly, and we’re enjoying every sign of it.

There's a certain kind of quiet that belongs to the first few minutes of the day in Clarens.

As the sun rises, the sky begins to change and the mountains slowly come into view. It’s peaceful, unhurried, and different every morning.

One of the pleasures of a stay in Clarens is how easy it is to slow down and explore at your own pace.

Mt Horeb Manor is within walking distance of the heart of town, so you can head out for a leisurely stroll, browse the shops and galleries, stop somewhere for lunch, or spend an afternoon discovering whatever catches your eye.

Then, when you’ve had your fill of exploring, it’s a short walk back to the peace and comfort of the guesthouse, with the mountains waiting in the background.

Close to everything you want to experience, with a quiet place to come home to.

The snow may not have reached town, but the mountains surrounding Clarens have put on quite a show.

There’s something special about looking out at snow covered peaks while staying warm and comfortable inside Mt Horeb Manor. Add a hot cup of coffee, a hearty breakfast, and those beautiful winter views, and chilly mornings suddenly have a charm of their own.

This is Clarens in winter. Crisp, peaceful, and very easy to settle into.
