TRANQUIL The Barbet Country Cottages are situated on a large farm, 17 km from Clarens along the magnificent Maluti route, a beautiful, scenic drive, including our very own ‘God’s Window’, overlooking the vast Maluti Mountain ranges. The farm is home to Blesbok, Reebok, Duikers, as well as many other forms of wildlife. Birdwatchers will enjoy the many species of birds, including the paradise flyc
atcher, hoepoe, raptors and, obviously, the barbet. Unwind with the breathtaking mountain views, relax in the champagne air and enjoy quiet reflection or invigorating walks. The Barbet Cottage, is a 3-bedroomed cottage (sleeps 6), partly under thatch with a cozy sunroom that is fitted with a fireplace. The cottage boasts a fully equipped kitchen and two bathrooms (one fitted with a bath). The Willows is a two bedroomed cottage, named for its serene setting alongside the willows with a wide, sweeping view of the Maluti Mountains. The cottage is well appointed, with two en-suite bathrooms (one containing a romantic slipper bath and the other a walk-in shower) and a fully equipped, modern, open-plan kitchen. Enjoy sundowners on the private verandah. A wood burning fireplace ensures that the whole cottage is kept warm throughout the colder months and the easy flow from lounge to dining and kitchen area will ensure that your stay in this delightful cottage will be memorable and one which will entice you back again and again. MOUTH-WATERING MEALS & WONDERFUL SHOPPING Clarens, our local village boasts some excellent art and craft shops, as well as fabulous restaurants and inviting coffee shops. Directions from Clarens: Take the Fouriesburg Road (R711) for 17 kms. Our signboard will be on your left. Turn left and immediately right (S505) and proceed down gravel road for 700m. The entrance to our private road is on on the right.
