The race is on at Sugar Bay Camp this December!

We're bringing the excitement of Formula 1 to camp, but this time our campers are building the cars!

Each cabin will design and build its own racing car, earn materials through challenges and put their creation to the test in the final race!

Expect pit-stop challenges, reaction games, plenty of team rivalry and a race day worth cheering for.

And there's still time for all your Sugar Bay favourites, with over 100 activities to choose from throughout the week!

Yellowwood Park Primary’s Grade 7 school camp is in full swing at Sugar Bay! We’re sharing Tuesday morning’s photos as their three-day school tour continues here in Zinkwazi Beach on KwaZulu-Natal’s North Coast.

How many friendships never begin because it's easier to look at a phone?

It's something we think about often at Sugar Bay.

For a child who doesn't know anyone, picking up a phone can be much easier than starting a conversation with someone new.

At camp, we see children arrive feeling shy or uncertain, sometimes not knowing a single person. Without phones to retreat into, they have more opportunities to talk, join in and get to know one another.

Of course, it doesn't happen automatically. Our counselors are there to help with those first introductions and encourage children to find their feet.

And there's something wonderful about watching a child who arrived knowing nobody leave with a whole group of new friends.
