Dear client,
I am writing to make you aware of a renewed phishing campaign that is currently targeting guests within the hospitality industry.
Earlier today, we identified new phishing attempts where cyber criminals are contacting guests and requesting payment through fraudulent links and payment forms. These messages are designed to appear legitimate and often create a sense of urgency by threatening cancellation or requesting immediate payment.
We know that the security incidents of recent weeks have caused concern, frustration, and additional work for many of our clients. We understand that each new incident places further strain on the trust you place in us, and I want you to know that we take that responsibility seriously.
Over the past several weeks, our development, infrastructure, and security teams have been working extensively to strengthen the security of the Semper platform. This work has included identifying vulnerabilities, implementing additional safeguards, improving monitoring capabilities, and introducing further protections against evolving threats.
While no software provider can honestly promise to eliminate all cyber risk, I am confident that the work completed to date, together with the security enhancements being deployed tonight, represents a significant step forward in strengthening our platform and reducing future risk.
We recognise that the past few weeks have not been easy. On behalf of the entire Semper team, I want to personally thank you for your patience, support, and continued trust during this difficult period.
Our commitment to you remains unchanged. We will continue investing in the security, stability, and resilience of the Semper platform, and we will continue to communicate openly and transparently with you.
Should you have any questions or concerns, our Support and Technical teams are available to assist.
Kind regards,
Eben Marais
