Kwalata Game Lodge, situated in the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve, was established in 1994 as a youth camp that focused on environmental education and leadership development. This camp has become a vibrant lodge hosting local and international guests. Kwalata is Fairtrade graded and owner-managed lodge situated in the Gauteng Province in South Africa. It is the perfect malaria-free stop-over to or from northern destinations and one hour’s drive from OR Tambo International Airport. Tailored Cultural, social and environmental programs are presented enabling great experiences with measurable outcomes. Ladies of the Bushveld!

Pretty in reddish-brown, dressed in white stripes, and always ready for a snack! Meet the female Nyala — elegant, graceful, and perfectly camouflaged in the bush.

Fun fact: Unlike the males, female Nyalas have no horns, but they’re just as beautiful!
