Plumbago Guest House
overlooking Da Gama Dam is a scenic, earth-fill/gravity dam situated on the Witwaters River in the Mpumalanga Lowveld, South Africa. Located along the R40 halfway between White River and Hazyview, this tranquil 128.9-hectare reservoir is widely celebrated as a peaceful retreat for water sports, fishing, and sunset leisure. To protect its quiet, natural atmosphere, motorboats are strictly banned on the water, meaning visitors only use non-motorized watercraft, paddleboards, or electric trolling motors.

Recreational Fishing: The dam is highly regarded by local anglers for catching bass, barbel (catfish), and eel. Trolling motors and small craft are permitted for fishing, though bank fishing is also popular.Water Sports: Visitors frequently bring their own canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards to explore the calm waters.
