Caught on last night’s drive: a male leopard perched high in a marula tree, letting the darkness know who’s in charge.

Leopards are called the most elusive of the Big 5 for a reason. You can spend days in the bush and never see one. But when you do… when the spotlight finds those rosettes glowing and you hear that deep, sawing call echo through the trees — you’ll never forget it.
